About the Event

The cost for this workshop is $50. Because dying and death planning and reflection is important work, I hope to make this possible for everyone. Please email me if you seek a needs-based scholarship.

“Doula” is an ancient Greek word that designated women slaves who were specifically assigned to service related to birthing. Like birth doulas wait with the birthing mother, offering caring comfort, death doulas attend to the dying and their supporting communities with presence and healing modalities. From facilitating family conversations about end of life medical care to teaching care givers how to assist to setting up and conducting home funerals, doulas help restore death to its sacred place in human living.

This workshop gently engages our fears surrounding death and demonstrates how doulas can be guides to dying well.
